The Cobra candleholder is one of Georg Jensen’s most iconic products. The candleholder is designed by Constantin Wortmann and the voluptuous curves are inspired by the mystical Cobra snake that also has given the series its name. The candleholder reminiscent of classic, antique candlesticks but you can clearly see the difference between the modern Cobra and its forebears.

Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires in 1964 but moved to Switzerland as a teenager. He studied industrial design at the “Höhere Schule für Gestaltung”, School of Design, in Zürich, the same place his design studio is based today. Today he works for some of the world’s leading design brands including Iittala, Georg Jensen and Vitra. His designs are heavily influenced by his early childhood in Argentina, his curiosity and observations of everyday life. For Alfredo Häberli it is of utmost importance that his designs are made to be used. This notion is the origin of all of his designs.
